CES 2009 Jumpstarts Our Interest With Internet Enabled Streaming Car Stereos

The 2009 Consumer Electronics Show does not disappoint and they never forget techie gadgets for your car. The first day of CES 2009 Blaupunkt introduces an internet enabled car stereo. The two new units, New Jersey and Hamburg, allow you to stream thousands of internet radio stations to your car while providing a streamlined interface to your Bluetooth enabled cell phone.

Don’t be fooled, these internet radios are full fledged car stereos with a little kick. It is coupled with Bluetooth, Mobile phone keypad, a USB input for music and a hi-resolution display. You can utilize all of the features while on the go in your vehicle provided you have an unlimited data plan through your wireless service provider. The better of the two units (the New Jersey model) will connect to 3G/HSDPA/HSPA networks via Bluetooth for internet connectivity. Both models will be available in the second half of 2009.
