I want to say sign me up for the all-new 2015 Lexus RC F just from what I see, but I think I will go try one out for myself here in a few days before I write out the check.
It has been confirmed, the most exciting performance-oriented Lexus to grace us hard-working folks (sans the outgoing Lexus LFA at $375,000) will start at price of $63,325 including a $925 destination charge. That’s actually not too bad when you consider this 467-horsepower and 389 ft-lbs. of torque luxury sports car will compete with the likes of BMW’s new M4 and the Benz C63 AMG Coupe – almost 2 grand less than the M4’s starting price of $65,125.
The Lexus RC F brings forth a redesigned 5.0-liter V8 engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. In the tradition of raw power, the V8 is as natural as you will get laying its brute force to the rear wheels with the task of propelling its 3,958 pounds to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. That may be a split second less than the new M4, but we are talking about a Lexus here – something most people think is the most reliable luxury transportation appliance on the planet. That may hold true for some of the lineup of Lexus vehicles, but we suspect the all-new RC F will be the one to not overlook. Not to mention, we are sure it has many more standard features than the new M4 for a little less out of your pocket. Oh, and it really is a Lexus, something with impeccable quality and reliability.
