Reportedly, a Volkswagen Phaeton-type vehicle is due to make a return as a 2015 or 2016 model as suggested by MotorTrend with a possible USA inclusion. According to Autoblog, the new Phaeton may share its platform with the Bentley Continental Flying Spur. Yup, that means you can be pimping in a low-cost Bentley, with a VW badge, that still offers true luxury and ample amounts of interior space.

Volkswagen was one of the first automakers to release a teaser video for its upcoming Super Bowl ad, and we couldn’t see how dogs barking the Imperial March from Star Wars had anything to do with selling VWs. Volkswagen already made a hit during last year’s Superbowl with a commercial that will potentially go in the history books as one of the best automotive Superbowl commercials. For this year, Volkswagen does not plan to stop the momentum built up from last year’s clever Star Wars-themed commercial. VW has released what is an obvious hint towards what we should expect from them during the Superbowl XLVI’s commercial lineup continuing the same theme. Sadly, there isn’t much on-track footage, and you never get to see the cars running at anything resembling speed, but it is cool to see the entire family gathered for a portrait and video nonetheless.
