One common formula that most automotive enthusiasts look for in a performance car is light weight and lots of power. Combine the two and the rest should all fall into place in making the ultimate sports or super car. That is pretty much the same formula Lamborghini used with creating the new 2011 Gallardo 570-4 Superleggera. Weighing in at 3,153 lbs. (2,954 lbs dry weight) and powered by a 530 horsepower 5.2-liter V10 delivered through all 4-wheels, the Superleggera means business.

Countless times I have had conversations with automotive enthusiasts and they seem to wonder why the manufacturers never put much emphasis on fuel economy as they did with performance over the past few decades. Well, now Porsche has sent a subtle message to that specific group of inquisitive minds with the introduction of the Porsche 918 plug-in hybrid concept capable of getting 78 miles to the gallon while hitting 62mph in 3.2 seconds.

Pagani has released photos of a new one-off Pagani Zonda dubbed the Zonda Tricolore built to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Italian air force Frecce Tricolori team. You can think of them as being an Italian version of the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels.

AutomotiveAddicts.com’s owner and editors had the chance to attend the 6th annual Cars For The Cure show in Lake Mary, FL this weekend. A plethora of exotic cars were in attendance. What you see here is probably the next best thing to the Scirocco for America to get from Wolfsburg’s Volkswagen design group, the NCC. Essentially this new VW compact coupe is a two-door version of the Jetta.
