Can’t Afford A Real Bugatti Veyron? How About A Copy?

Let’s face it: the list of people who can afford to buy a Bugatti Veyron is a short one, and the list of people who can afford to drive and maintain a real Veyron is even shorter. The annual major service runs around $20,000, and a set of Veyron-specific Michelin tires runs around $35,000. Every four sets of tires (roughly every 20,000 miles, since the tires only last 5,000 miles per set) the Veyron requires new wheels, too. Read more…
Want To Buy A Cheap Bugatti Veyron?

When it comes to buying used cars or bikes, I have two primary rules to follow. First, never buy a vehicle with a salvage title, and second, see rule number one. Just in case you’ve never heard the term before, salvage title vehicles are ones that have been written off by insurance companies, then re-purchased (at a fraction of the original value) either by the owner or at auction. Some states even frown on registering vehicles with a salvage title, and finding insurance may take more than a few calls. If you’re trying to sell one, don’t expect to get more than a fraction of what a regular-title vehicle would sell for. In short, salvage title vehicles are the red-headed stepchildren of the automotive world. Read more…

If you’ve been holding out on buying a Bugatti Veyron because it just wasn’t fast enough for you, even in Super Sport trim, I’ve got good news: AutoExpress is reporting that a replacement for the storied supercar has been given a green light. If rumor is to be believed, the Veyron’s replacement will push the envelope as much (or more) than the original car did. According to inside sources, the new car will be lighter and even quicker than the Veyron it replaces, but don’t look for a significant change in the car’s unique styling. A Bugatti Veyron must look like a Bugatti Veyron, no matter what. Read more…

All I can say after watching this exclusive ‘road test’ video below is my job blows especially when compared to what Chris Harris of EVO does for a living. He gets to go to southern Spain to test drive the new Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, the fastest production car around with a heart stopping 1200 horsepower. By now we all know what the Veyron is all about but Chris spends a bit ‘talking’ during the first half of the video with a taste of the ‘real fun’ afterwards. Enjoy!

The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, as Autocar’s Steve Sutcliffe describes it, “is the car design for the owner of a Veyron who wanted more performance”. If it is ‘more’ performance that they wanted, then this is exactly what they will get… about 15% to 20% more of it.
Video: Bugatti Veyron Replica Created from BMW 6-Series
In my short time on this earth I have seen a variety of automotive replicas, some in bad taste and others were respected attempts to ‘pull-it-off’. My friend Jason at AutoGuide.com discovered a video on GT Spirit of a peculiar Bugatti Veyron replica created from a BMW 6 Series. Jason says it best in his description of this ‘creation’ below.

Every month you get a surprise at the Cars and Café event held at Route 46 Entertainment District. This month enthusiasts were able to enjoy the sights of a Veyron ‘Sang Bleu’, Ferrari 458 Italia and a Mosler MT900S among many other sports and exotic cars. Our friends Brandon Connelly and Peter Tromboni were able to capture these amazing works of art from the lens of their Cameras.
