Will Dodge Drop The Challenger From Its Lineup In 2013?

If you’re in the market for a pony car, it’s easy to overlook the Dodge Challenger. In SRT8 form, it’s more expensive than a Mustang GT or a Camaro 2SS, and it’s a noticeably larger car. That’s a plus when you’re on a long-distance roadtrip, where the big Dodge swallows miles like a sumo wrestler downing a plate of freshly-rolled toro maki. It’s a big minus when it comes to things like track days, where the super-sized Challenger just can’t keep up with its pony car rivals. Read more…
The 2012 Chrysler 300 Goes Upscale

We love the 2011 Chrysler 300 both for what it is (a full-size American sedan with an available V-8) and what it isn’t (stuffy or pretentious). The Chrysler 300 has no aspirations of taking on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class for luxury, and it isn’t really small or nimble enough to be a legitimate sport sedan competitor to BMW’s 5-Series (although the 300 SRT-8 is plenty fast). Instead, the Chrysler 300 is a big sedan for the common man, albeit one that can be optioned out to near-luxury levels. Read more…

The 2013 Dodge Dart Doesn’t Look Like An Entry Level Compact

In the original gospel according to domestic automakers, one rule was clear above all others: entry level compact cars were built to a price point, with little emphasis on content or quality. By way of example I give you the previous Ford Focus, the Chevy Aveo and perhaps the worst offender of all, the Dodge Caliber. The Caliber wasn’t just bad, it set new standards for how truly awful an automobile can be when MBAs and accountants are left to make all the decisions. Read more…
Group Alleges That Chrysler & Ford Engage In False Advertising

The Made in the USA Foundation was created in 1989 to promote American-manufactured products, and Ford was one of the companies that provided initial funding to the group. That hasn’t stopped the Made in the USA Foundation from calling out both Ford and Chrysler, charging both companies with false advertising in complaints filed with the FTC. Read more…
Chrysler To Streamline Its U.S. Product Offerings

Quick: what’s the difference between a Dodge Grand Caravan and a Chrysler Town & Country? How about the difference between a Dodge Avenger and a Chrysler 200? If you answered “price, mostly,” you’d be correct, although the 200 does offer a ragtop while the Avenger does not. The list of duplicate models in the Chrysler portfolio goes on, and offering so many variations on a common theme makes life confusing for both customers and car dealers alike. Read more…
2012 Chrysler 300 Commercial Introduces new 8-Speed Automatic Transmission

Chrysler aims to step up their game another notch with the introduction of a new 8-speed automatic transmission in the 2012 Chrysler 300. The workhorse 5-speed automatic has served Chrysler well over several years but not it seems it is time that they got with the program. The new 8-speed automatic transmission delivers better performance and efficiency, a touted 31 mpg when mated to the Pentastar V6 engine, proving that Chrysler got the memo from us and many other journalists talking about how “aged” the 5-speed auto was.
A new commercial, posted below, attempts to demonstrate Chrysler’s innovation of the 8-speed automatic in the new 2012 300 combining luxury and efficiency. This new character and conviction comes straight out of the heart of Motown. Enjoy the video below.

‘NEW REFINED STYLING AND INTERIOR’
I couldn’t fit all that is all-new in the 2011 Chrysler 300 Limited on my headline but besides the new refined exterior styling and new craftsmanship and attention to detail inside, the 300 Limited features a more powerful and efficient V6 engine, updated fully independent suspension, innovative U-connect technology, and more active safety systems available than ever before.
