Video: 0-300-0 km/h Guinness World Record Set by Koenigsegg Agera R

When a simple record setting run to over 186 mph just isn’t enough to make due, the next best thing would be to show off how fast you can come to a complete stop after hitting over 186 mph. That is exactly what the Koenigsegg Agera R has done and set a world record in the process.
It may be an easy task to reach high speeds in a short amount of time but when you factor in braking times right after a hard dash to over 180mph, things get a little dicey. Your car may be able to reach over 140mph under 21.19 seconds but try reaching just over 186mph and then braking to zero mph in 21.19 seconds. If you could, you would have tied the Koenigsegg Agera R for a new Guinness World Record. Check out the video below (after the jump) for a demonstration of the record setting run.

Over the past weekend our photographer Brandon Connelly had a chance to check out the astonishing vehicles at a local exotics car gallery. To his surprise they had 1 of only 2 Koenigsegg CCXR Special Editions in the world that feature the paddle shift option. This amazing mid-engined roadster features a twin-supercharged V8 engine from the CCX producing just over 1,000 horsepower and 782 foot-pounds of torque for the CCXR. Top speed of the CCXR is estimated at over 250mph.

Okay, seriously, if you do not belive this is real… that’s OKAY! We don’t belive it either.
Supposidly this guy, Idar Vollvik, jumps clear over his Koenigsegg CCX BUT, I mean a BIG BUT, it looks completely fake. It look like he may have jumped along-side of the CCX. They said it was filmed using a Sony Ericsson Handset (Cell Phone) so naturally this makes an excuse for the poor quality of the video which we cannot confirm being real. Speculation is arising that Koenigsegg, the Swedish supercar maker, is obtaining Saab from GM. As part of GM’s road back to financial health, they have slapped a for-sale sign on the Saab brand some time ago.
