The impact was severe enough that both rider and passenger lost their left legs, but were lucky enough to survive that accident. The root cause? When Hyundai launched its upscale Equus sedan in the United States, it did so with an innovative marketing move: rather than include a paper version of the owners manual, it loaded the full document onto an Apple iPad, which was included with the purchase of the car. That lasted exactly one model year, and Equus models now come with an abbreviated owners manual and a a DVD packed with the full version. Read more…

The C6 Corvette goes out of production later this year, so picking the latest Corvette ZR1 to pace this year’s Indy 500 is an appropriate send-off for the current generation. The 2013 Corvette ZR1 becomes the 23rd Chevrolet to pace the Indy 500 over its 96 runnings, and is the 11th Corvette model to do so. With 638 horsepower, the ZR1 is also the most powerful production car to ever lead the pack at the Brickyard. Read more…

If you were hoping the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster would pack a slick, power-retractable hardtop like Ferrari’s 458 Italia, it appears you’re out of luck.
