Tokyo Drift In The Living Room

The rich, it’s said, are different than you and I. What seems seems illogical or destructive to us just seems like good fun to those with large bank accounts. Keith Moon, the original drummer for The Who, had a penchant for destroying hotel rooms simply because he could. The owner of this Cobra replica, on the other hand, has a penchant for destroying hardwood floors.
There’s no backstory to accompany the video, so we don’t know what prompted the driver to serve up fresh donuts in his living room. Laying rubber in such tight confines takes some skill, so we’ll give the driver props for only destroying the floors and not the drywall. Enjoy the video below, and we strongly discourage you from trying this at home. Read more…

Shelby Commemorates 50 Years Of Cobras

It’s hard to imagine, but it’s been fifty years since mad genius Carroll Shelby first blended the chocolate of the A.C. Ace body with the peanut butter of the Ford V8. The result was the Shelby Cobra, which would go on to be perhaps the most iconic automobile of all time. It’s certainly the most recreated, with aftermarket companies ready, willing and able to sell you anything from cheesy fiberglass over unibody kits to hand-hammered aluminum bodies over steel space frames. All those options have one thing in common: they may look like a Cobra, but they don’t come from Shelby. Read more…
Mighty Shelby Mustang GT350 for 2011
Shelby American wasted no time coming up with its own take on the new 2011 Ford Mustang. This baby was dubbed a concept as the 2011 Shelby GT350 will go on sale later this year with very little changes.

The show has to go on… the 2009 North American International Auto Show is not complete until you have the new 2010 Shelby GT500 Mustang on display. And that is just what they will have as shown in the images below if you have not seen the already from other automotive sources online. This new Mustang should be the most powerful factory production Mustang ever. Pretty bad-assed if you ask me!
Enjoy the images.
