BMW did not stop with just one ActiveHybrid but they went took essentially the same powertrain as the BMW X6 ActiveHybrid and used it in the BMW 7 ActiveHybrid, or vice-versa, whichever way you look at it.
BMW Will Not Offer M7? Will Offer M-Sport Package for 7-Series

Last week we posted spy photos adding to the speculation that BMW was going to produce an M version of the 7-Series. New information and photos have confirmed (for now) that it will not be a M7 models. Instead of an actual M version of the 7-Series, BMW will be offering a M-sport package for the 7-Series. The M-sport package will add M-esq accents such as those found on other non-M models.

It seems almost every other month BMW is pumping out a new M version of their latest lineup. The last M Motorsports car to come out of the mix was the X5M and X6M. Now we have the pleasure of unleashing the M-Beast out of the big baller-status 7-Series. That is right, you heard that correctly, BMW might have a M7!
