The next BMW M3 is already in the works making rounds at the normal Nurburgring testing grounds. Aside from finding out what will be under the bonnet of the new M3 or M4, whichever BMW decides to name it, enthusiasts want to know what BMW’s prided sports coupe will look like. Our good friends at BMWBlog, through the Facebook page of Iacoski, rendered the new M3/M4 into reality. So far, in my opinion, this is the best looking representation of what the new BMW M3/M4 could look like. What do you think, love it or leave it?

Have you ever looked at the home office or work desk belonging to a true automotive enthusiast? Did you take notice to any model cars or die-cast models that resemble some of your favorite all-time sports/exotic cars? As I write this very post I notice that I am surrounded by upwards of 10 model cars on my desk and on the wall in my office. Sometimes I dream that I could do a real-life build of one of them especially my 1:18 scale 2001 E46 BMW M3 GTR model car. That would be a dream come true for me.

The only person that I know personally crazy enough to do such a thing actually pulled off a stunt like this from his very own 1:18 scale Kurt Thiim 1988 E30 BMW M3 Race Car. The guys at the Orlando, Florida area PSI (Precision Sport Industries) shop took countless hours in constructing a virtually identical build to one of the shop manager’s Kurt Thiim M3 1:18 scale model car. The attention to detail on this E30 BMW M3 is remarkable from the custom body work down to the vinyl wrap. It is safe to say that this vintage build is one-of-a-kind. BMW’s return to DTM racing after 20 years brings about the introduction of the new 2012 M3 DTM Concept Car. There are many ways to specifically describe performance cars and race cars but the new M3 DTM Concept Car is just plain mean looking. From its wide body finders to the matt black skin, you can almost be certain that this vehicle is packing some serious heat underneath its bonnet.

BMW Motorsport has announced the driver of the M3 DTM cars will be Augusto Farfus and Andy Priaulx. The BMW M3 DTM car will be powered by 473 horsepower V8 and top out around 186 mph. Mind you, these numbers are an aftereffect of the DTM technical regulations which basically “tones things down” making the racing field more “even”.

Look for the M3 DTM racer to take on Audi and Mercedes-Benz in the German touring car series next year. For now, enjoy the BMW M3 DTM Concept Car introduction video below.
