Slated to be the fastest wagon to ever come off of an assembly line, the new 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon has been announced to have a starting price of $62,990. The CTS-V Sport Wagon does not have much immediate competition in the Americas but if it did, in the form of the BMW M5 or Mercedes Benz E63 AMG, it would be the better performer. That’s because of its same LSA 6.2-liter 556hp Supercharged V8 engine found in the other CTS-V models (Coupe and Sedan).

It was only a matter of time before John Hennessey and his crew took the new 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe to a new level. The ‘level’ that they took it to was 700 horsepower and 740 pound-feet of torque out of the supercharged LSA V8 engine. In the video below John explains the torque is where it is at sending this beast down the drag strip to make a quarter mile run in 11.16 second at 124mph while its 0-60mph time comes in at 3.26 seconds.

‘The new standard of the world’ so says Cadillac in the latest CTS Coupe and CTS-V Coupe commercials. After driving the 2010 Cadillac CTS-V Sedan I can somewhat agree with that considering that is the world’s fastest production sedan. Now that Cadillac has introduced a new CTS-V Coupe, it enters into a new category up against several other noteworthy sports coupes. Below are two new Cadillac CTS-V commercials further enticing me to buy one of these bad boys. Not sure if I want one but it sure is fast!

2012 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Spied Packing A 6.2-Liter Supercharged V8

We guessed it in our review of the 2010 Chevy Camaro SS, the new 2012 Camaro Z28 will come out and it will sport a 6.2-liter Supercharged V8! This is news hot off of the press as spy shots recently posted on Camaro5.com confirm this rumor. Further proof of concept is via a spy photograph that reveals a paper sign on the dash of the test car reading: “5. 2012 Chevrolet Camaro… 6.2L SC V8, 6AT”. We can pretty much sum up what that lingo means but just like it says on Camaro5, we are not sure if it is the LS9 (Corvette ZR1) or the LSA motor. I am thinking 556 horsepower or more! We will be sure to post more details as they are provided.

2010 Cadillac CTS-V Review & Test Drive

General Motors has really upped the ante when it comes to their performance division, and the proof is consistently found in the new 2010 Cadillac CTS-V.
The latest Cadillac CTS-V packs a serious punch in the form of 556 horsepower and 551 ft. lbs. of torque. That’s enough power generated by the 6.2-liter Eaton Supercharged V8 to rocket the 4,233 pound sedan to 60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds. That makes the 2010 CTS-V the fastest production sedan in town. Power is delivered through either a Tremec TR6060 6-Speed manual or a Hydra-Matic 6L90 6-Speed automatic transmission as equipped on our test car.

John Hennessey and his crew are known for taking already fast cars and making them scary faster. One of the latest creations is the Hennessey V700 Cadillac CTS-V. With over 700hp on tap this monster has been shaped into an angry monster. Inside Line had the chance to put it through the paces with 0-60 times reaching 3.8 seconds and the quarter mile in 11.5 seconds. The 20-inch forged wheels do look good but they didn’t do anything to improve the handling over stock form.
