Let’s face it: if your team isn’t playing in the Super Bowl, half the game’s entertainment value is going to come from the ads. Every single advertiser pulls out all the stops to film a budget-blowing spot for the Super Bowl, because it ensures they’ll get their product in front of millions of beer and hot-wing fueled television viewers. Short of staging your own halftime “wardrobe malfunction”, there’s no better way to build brand awareness than with a Super Bowl ad that stands above the rest. Read more

‘Green With Envy’
After an eight-year hiatus, the all-new 2010 Chevy Camaro is a hit with muscle car enthusiasts by outselling the all-new 2010 Ford Mustang by a good margin. To keep the momentum going Chevy has introduced a ‘synergy’ special edition model that should keep enthusiasts very happy.
With a design that is very close to the original 1967 through 1969 Camaro with a long hood, short deck, and a low, wide stance, this two-door sports coupe features those classic proportions tightly drawn over a 112.3in. wheelbase, 190.4in. total length, 75.5in. width and 54.2in. height. These proportions are pushed to the far corners of the muscular fender forms, and a fast, 67-degree rake windshield.

Ultimate Factories: Camaro
Our friends at Ultimate Factories are at it again this week, giving us a first hand view of the build process of their highly acclaimed new Camaro. It’s an 18 hour build process involving both humans and robots which is fine tuned to produce 1 brand new Camaro every MINUTE! Meticulous work is required in many aspects of this build, as they use 734 robots to perform the almost 5,000 spot welds required on each Camaro body. Also, the new Oshawa Car Paint Shop, completed in 2007, finishes an average of 150 cars an hour. This is big industry at its finest, and we are lucky to be able to see this process from beginning to end.
Show airs on National Geographic at 8pm, October 15th, 2009. Check local listings for availability.

2010 Chevrolet Camaro: Motor Trend Test Drives 2010 Chevy Camaro

Can you believe it has been about 7 years since the last Chevy Camaro rolled off the assembly line? Wow, I sure can’t believe it. I guess it is time that it came back and the new one does not disappoint with a tested 0-60mph time of 4.6 seconds (SS V8 automatic) as tested by Motor Trend with an automatic tranny. That’s pretty impressive! I just hope these numbers are not fudged by GM paying off Motor Trend (behind closed doors). That would put the new 2010 Camaro just ahead of the new Dodge Challenger and Ford Mustang. The American muscle is back! Maybe this will help SAVE the big 3 from a disaster about to happen. What do you think?
View the Motor Trend test drive video below after the jump!
Motor Trend Performance Numbers:
2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS V8
- 0-60: 4.7 second (manual transmission) 4.6 (automatic transmission)
- ¼ mile: 14.4 seconds @ 98mph
- Skidpad Lateral Acceleration: 0.80g
- 60-0 braking: 105 – 107 feet
