There is always some type of mystical thing about a car that was owned by a celebrity such as in the case of former NBA superstar Michael Jordan’s Benz SLR McLaren 722 which has recently gone up for sale on eBay.

The pristine condition 2007 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 Roadster that is for sale is a one-off edition that belonged to Michael Jordan since it was new. The 722 edition is a tuned version of the SLR McLaren with 670 horsepower from its 5.4-liter supercharged V8 engine and a top speed of 209mph. The price on the eBay sale has reached well over $400K and could gain greatly mainly due to the fact that this vehicle was owned by Jordan. If you are the lucky purchaser of this vehicle you would get to hold in your hand the title signed over by Jordan himself. As they say on eBay, ‘Happy Bidding‘.

Today we ran upon two Bugatti Veyrons up for sale on eBay. I know that we are in an economic downturn but I was still surprised to see the price that these two bad-boys are going for. It seems they are going for just under $1 million which is considerably less than they were ($1.6 million) when brand-new. If this is any indication as to how the Veyron holds its value then maybe I could actually get one in about… ahhh… 20 years! Anyhow, it will be interesting to see what these two vehicles sell for. HAPPY Bidding – Literally!

The new 2009 Cadillac CTS-V is just now on its way to many Cadillac dealerships and some have taken the liberty to put them up for sale on eBay already. We are not even sure it will reach anywhere near the buy-it-now price set it its MSRP of $67,740. Just goes to show the state of our economy.

It seems GM is still in a serious horsepower war with someone. We are not sure who it is but GM may win the race (if it was one). Just like Jay Leno’s new Corvette ZR1, the new Caddy CTS-V is one of the most powerful cars GM has come out with. Maybe they can put this type of “focus” into building some more efficient vehicles and they won’t have to worry about Bailouts and running out of cash. Nonetheless, the new CTS-V is a serious 4 door monster that may give other high performance sports sedans a run for their money, literally.
