The famous 1970 Dodge Charger from the Fast and the Furious movie franchise is not exactly what you think it is.

After you look past all the glitz and glamor, you will find some interesting facts about Hollywood in general. When it comes to cool looking cars on the big screen you never know what the car is like in real life until you watch a video or read about someone taking it for a real-world test drive. That is exactly what the guys at Inside Line did to the Fast and Furious (Fast Five) Charger movie car. I bet you didn’t know that underneath that BDS blower is a Chevrolet small-block V8 instead of a HEMI. Yeah, I didn’t know either and I don’t think Vin Diesel would have ever told anyone that bit of information. I bet some of you didn’t see this one coming, or did you? The newest installment to the Fast and the Furious franchise will be called “Fast Five” and a new exclusive trailer featuring two Hollywood big boys, Vin Diesel and ‘The Rock’ Dwayne Johnson is here for your enjoyment. Vin Diesel was so kind to premier this new Fast Five trailer via his Facebook page today. With Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris and Paul Walker being the big stars of ‘Fast Five’, we are sure that it will also feature some kick-ass automobiles from all ends of the world as you can obviously see in the movie trailer below.

Vin Diesel has stated that his fans’ voices, Facebook fans included, made this film a reality. A reality it is by the looks of the new exclusive Fast Five trailer. The new Fast Five is due out in theaters Spring of 2011.

The latest installment to the Fast and Furious franchise reportedly will be called ‘Fast 5’ or ‘The Fast and The Furious 5′ and is currently in production. ‘Fast 5′ features the return of Vin Diesel (Dominic Toretto), Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Matt Schulze, Sung Kang (Han) and from the 2^nd installment, Tyrese Gibson. Making an appearance in the newest Fast and Furious will be Dwayne Johnson aka ‘The Rock’.

As you can only imagine from the last Fast and Furious, Dom and Brian are now fugitives pursued by lawmen in the upcoming ‘Fast 5’ movie.

Fast 5 is sure to feature some awesome rides including another return of the infamous 1970 Dodge Charger only this time it is fully murdered-out in matt black. Other cars to make an appearance include a Porsche 911 (996), Acura NSX, Plymouth Cuda, Ford GT40 replica, Conquest Knight XV, Corvette Speedster, 2009 Dodge Charger SRT8, Nissan GT-R and the list goes on.

According to a post on Vin Diesel’s Facebook page, there will be at least two additional installments of the Fast and Furious franchise films. That’s right, two more bottles of Nos is what the doctor ordered to cure your addiction for one of the most sought after modern “street racing/action” movies to hit the big screen.

If 2009′s ‘Fast and Furious’ was chapter one, what writer Chris Morgan just delivered is Chapter 2 and chapter 3.

I have never been submitted a two story saga from a studio before… it is very exciting, and shows a commitment level that is hard not to respond to.

Excited about the sexy locations the filming of this saga would take us… this novel like story, that has twists and unexpected turns that is authentic, truthful and challenging to the characters.

Excited now or could you care less? I know I am excited! The question now is will it be called “Fast and Furious 2” and “Fast and Furious 3” or will it be “Fast and Furious 5” and “Fast and Furious 6”?

This morning I wake up to the news reporting that “Fast and Furious” has shattered box office records bringing in an estimated $72.5 million over the weekend holding the number 1 movie spot. This is farfetched if you consider what critics predicted for the 4th installment of the Fast and the Furious franchise of movies.

I would actually have to admit that this may have been the best Fast and Furious movie out of the other 3 because it actually had a decent plot.

In today’s economy when car dealerships are closing and the automotive industry seeks additional bailouts at the expense of tax payers, people seek weekend outlets that won’t get them deeper in debt. One outlet this weekend was to obviously watch Fast and Furious at the local movie theater. You may get mixed reviews from some after watching this movie but over-all it is good entertainment for the majority either way you put it.

Fast and Furious holds the best three-day opening for Universal Pictures movies ever even beating out movies from way back including “Jurassic Park” ($72.1 million). The new “Monsters vs. Aliens” even failed to keep up with the fast paced Fast and Furious movie bringing in only $59.3 million followed by “Watchmen” at $55.2 million.

Rejoining actors Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriquez had a little to do with the success where this is their best opening ever for them as actors and actresses.

Another shocker is Fast and Furious now holds the best opening for any car-themed movie beating out the movie “Cars” which brought in $60.1 million on it’s opening weekend.

Some have viewed the premier of the newest Fast and Furious movie named, Duh, “Fast and Furious” including ME! Staring Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Jordana Brewster… this new movie brings about some extra Drama and a nicely put together plot. Some may criticize what I have to say but I can honestly say after getting past the CGI effects and few silly lines, it is a decent movie. I give it 3 and a half stars out of 5. You have lots of serious cars that actually look nice. This time whoever picked out the cars did a great job, by far the best out of all of Fast and Furious movies. I do have a bone to pick with the infamous BMW 5 series said to be an M5 but is clearly a 540i or 528i. I happen to know several friends with BMW’s and they all had a giggle along with me when we watched the M5… ahhhh 5-series drive across the big screen.

Otherwise I just love the crazy unrealistic car moves and the ending leaving an opening to additional installments to the fast and furious to come.

Matt Farah, oddly enough, pretty much goes along with my review as I searched the net finding others who have seen the premier to Fast and Furious.

Guys, all I have to say is… go see this movie if you are a gear-head or what we like to call everyone who visits this site.. Automotive Addicts! This one ranks up with the original part one “The Fast and The Furious” with more realistic parts and just a better movie over-all. I want to get everyone’s opinion on this movie.
