Who would have ever thought of a time that Jeremy Clarkson would enjoy what he calls the “floppy paddle” gearbox. In the current season of Top Gear Jeremy gets behind the wheel of the new Ferrari 458 Italia and starts his typical complaints about the way the controls are laid out on the steering wheel. But after he unleashes the power that the 458 has to offer, his outlook begins to change. He totally goes ape sh*t over what he discovers in the new 458 Italia after putting it into the corners. ‘Transformers 3′ the movie is shaping up to be one of the best modern-day car flicks with all of the car porn they have shipped in to the movie set in Chicago. The stars of the movie are showing their faces and we like them! Some of them include the Ferrari 458 Italia, Corvette Stingray Convertible Concept “Sideswipe”, a newer Chevy Camaro SS “Bumblebee”, several NASCAR vehicles and a modified Mercedes E-Class.

Ferrari 458 Italia Spider Retractable Hard-Top Rendering & Speculations

Reportedly there will be a Ferrari 458 Italia Spider which will feature a hard-top retractable roof using similar mechanisms found in the current Ferrari California. The engine will be the same 4.5-liter 570hp V8 found in the 458 coupe. Our friend DJ at Teamspeed shared exclusive renderings of what he thinks the 458 Spider will look like. Enjoy!

Images of an upcoming Ferrari 458 Challenge (458 Italia race-prepped version) have surfaced. No one has confirmed 100% that this is the real deal. From our experience with the 360 Challenge Stradale, the 458 Challenge shown in the images is what you would expect from such a one-off ‘race-version’ of the 458.
