The new 2011 Equus is Hyundai’s attempt to battle with the big dogs. The new Hyundai Equus looks as if it is a cross-breed BMW, Lexus and Benz all wrapped up in a nice package that is pleasing to the eye.
Of course the price point of the Equus and its world-class warranty offering is what may put the Equus on the desired list. Especially for those who are on the fence about spending over 60 grand for a luxury sedan.

I had to do a double take to make sure this was not the new Lexus LS460 on display at the New York International Auto Show. Come to find out it was the Hyundai Equus.
Sources such as InsideLine have reported that Hyundai has plans to bring the Equus to North America in the next two to three years. Featured at the 2009 New York International Auto Show is the full sized, and I mean FULL SIZED, Hyundai Equus. The price is estimated to start at $96,000 in the current condition. Hopes are that once it reaches the states is it will cost a lot less considering the other cars that it is put up against. I realize Hyundai is the “stuff” now but almost $100K for a Hyundai in America, we have yet to have an economy to support such a thing. I may be forced to take my $100K and buy a new BMW 7-series with more gadgets than you could ever imagine vs. buying a $100K Hyundai.
