The new Porsche Panamera still has to grow on me a bit more before I officially “like” it. The newest creation from Porsche tuner 9ff, the Panamera PT-55, is speeding up that “growing” process for me. If you view the videos below you will understand what I mean. The exhaust sound alone will make you forget about that ugly rear-end and help welcome this new beast into your heart. Not to mention this tuned 4-door Porsche is rated at 550hp!

Did you notice the suspension lowered at 14 seconds?

This Swiss tuning company has come up with some very creative cars such as a a pink Bentley Continental GT to a gold-clad Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR.

This new creation of theirs just looks drop dead gorgeous if you ask me. The Porsche Panamera looks a lot better with the aftermarket add ons from Mansory. It looks like a car one would want instead of just another typical Porsche.

Mansory is planning to release an aerodynamic kit for the four-door grand tourer that the company says gives the car a more “masculine” appearance. Other available components will include 21-inch wheels, a sport exhaust system, and a variety of wood, carbon fiber, and aluminum interior accessories.

Masculine appearance for the Porsche Gran Turismo

MANSORY Switzerland enhances the Porsche Panamera. The specialist for exclusive refinement of premium automobiles turns the four-door Gran Turismo into a power pack which is even more dynamic and exclusive and most of all has a significantly more distinct appearance.

Originally, the company owner Kourosh Mansory solely focused on British luxury cars, but meanwhile he has also proven his talent for Italian brands such as the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano and automobiles like the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. After the Chopster Cayenne, the Panamera is already the second Porsche which is given the honour to become entirely modified by MANSORY.

Also, the new Porsche will receive an individual design language according to the MANSORY tradition. Its engineers produce the new aerodynamics components in high-strength polyurethane (PU-RIM) and Prepreg-Autoclav-Carbon, the characteristic material for MANSORY. As the car is lowered by 35 millimetres and equipped with new wheels measuring 9,5×21 and 11,5×21 inches as well as a sport exhaust system, the new personality of the Panamera becomes significantly more visual and audible.

In order to provide the driver directly with the experience of an automobile refined by MANSORY, the engineers included extensive refinements. A widespread leather interior can be individually matched with the most precious woods, finest varnish or dynamic carbon. The pedals made of brushed aluminium perfect the interior equipment. With the newly designed sports steering wheel, the driver can feel the elegance of the refined Porsche straight in his hands.

MANSORY Switzerland bestows an individual appearance to the Porsche Panamera. The complex refinement turns a sports car for journeys into a characteristic personality – after all a real MANSORY.

AutomotiveAddicts.com had the chance to go to an exclusive revealing of the new Porsche Panamera. The event began with Porsche North America president, Detlev Von Platen, discussing the design aspects and highlights of the new 4-door Porsche. Later it was capped off with the introduction of all 3 models, the Panamera S, Panamera 4S and the 500hp Panamera Turbo. All vehicles were on display for the public to drool over while we were able to catch some live images in the process.

It was truly a treat to see a new sports sedan “in the flesh” which is capable of achieving such a high level of performance that was once only found in exotic sports cars.

How good is the UK postal service? Well here’s a chance to see how it stacks up with Porsche’s fast and fugly luxury sport sedan, the Panamera.

The Panamera has no shortage of luxury or high-tech features, and the official starting price of $89,000 is certainly better than what was rumored a few months ago. The exterior styling is controversial to say the least, yet it looks at home in the Porsche lineup. The interior is less daring, but should help raise the bar in the grand touring luxury segment.

Porsche says that the Panamera is 76 inches in width, making it an especially wide sedan. A Mercedes-Benz S-Class, by comparison, is less than 74 inches wide. The Panamera measures 55.8 inches in height and 195.7 inches in length. This makes for a roomy interior, especially for just four passengers. The cabin is complete with 18-way adjustable front seats, and 8-way adjustable rear seats.

The entry-level powerplant will be Volkswagen’s 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine with 300 horsepower. The ‘S’ model will deliver 400 hp from a 4.8-liter V8, and the Turbo variant will offer an estimated 500 horses. The Panamera S will start at $89,000, while the all-wheel-drive 4S will cost $93,800. The Turbo will ring in at $132,600, which is slightly more than a Cayenne Turbo. U.S. sales are to begin in October.

The rear-wheel drive Panamera S has can sprint from zero to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds on its way to a top speed of 175 mph. The Panamera 4S can hit 60 in 4.8 seconds and achieves the same top speed. The all-wheel drive Panamera Turbo sets a zero to 60 time of 4 seconds flat and a top track speed of 188 mph.

All models are equipped with Porsche’s new PDK dual-clutch gearbox. Porsche is also planning a hybrid variant of the Panamera, though the automaker failed to disclose any further details. The turbocharged version will come standard with all-wheel-drive. Rear wheel drive will be standard otherwise with four-wheel propulsion a line-wide option. A hybrid version is expected to debut later this year.

Is Porsche developing a new Panamera Convertible aka Panamera Cabrio? There are rumors spreading over the internet today about Porsche developing a Panamera drop-top. This photo just started circulating and it does look appealing even if it is a Photoshop job. I just hope the rear-end does not look as bad as the current 4-door Panamera!

The shape and design of the Porsche Panamera took a bit for me to start liking it but with more official and live pictures posted, it started to grow on me. But if you’re still on the fence, how about we tune the Panamera – TECHART style!

I’ve patterned the front bumper from the TECHART GTStreet R line for the Porsche 911 Turbo, the side skirts is of my own design as well as the vent cover in the front fenders. All the chrome trims in the headlight surrounds and window trim were blacked out and the side view mirror cover are all in Carbon Fiber.

Out of curiosity, I contacted TECHART in Germany to see what they thought of the design. I’m glad to find out that everyone liked it and thought that it was very professional and detailed work. They also said that it was similar to the way they do their initial computer designs in house. Regards to Alex and the rest of the TECHART crew for the great and prompt response.
