Sometimes the simplest things amaze me but today Jalopnik’s post “Yes, That Is The Porsche 911 GT3 In An NYC Parking Garage” takes the cake. This is one of those “scratch your head” moments because you start to wonder why this car isn’t in the building for the New York Auto Show.

The guys at Porsche have conjured up a new hybrid system which is nothing like the one found in your normal consumer hybrid sold at the Toyota or Ford dealership. Instead, found in the new Porsche 911 GT3 R, is a hybrid system that uses an electro-mechanical flywheel for energy storage developed by the Williams Formula One team and the Williams Hybrid subsidiary.
