The upcoming Audi A8 (2011 model year) was recently spied on in full camouflage. With a date set later this year to reveal the new Audi A8, it is expected to be 10cm longer than the current model. The new A8 will use more weight-saving materials and incorporate more fuel efficient engines.

The new Audi A8 will rival against the Lexus LS, BMW 7-series and Mercedes-Benz S-class. The range of engines will include a 3.0-liter and 4.2-liter V8.

We were just tipped off from our friends at worldcarfans.com about new spy shots of the upcoming BMW M5 making it’s rounds around the Nurburgring. The front end sports the typical “camouflage” that they plaster on prototypes during testing to so-called disguise the vehicle. As if we can’t make out the front end of the new M5 shown in the images below. HA!

So what’s under the hood? That’s the $100,000 question right? Well, we are pretty sure it is the new 4.4-liter twin turbo that pumps out 555hp which is currently found in the BMW X5 M and X6 M. If it is the old V10 then we will be so sorry to disappoint you automotive fanatics out there. BOO!!! Enjoy the images!

BMW X5 M Spy Shot

We recently showed you a behind the scenes clip showcasing the development of the new BMW X6M and now we have an exclusive spy shot of what seems to be the upcoming BMW X5 M at the BMW Performance Delivery Center. The photo was taken by Gadgetman, aka Darren who happens to be a good friend of AutomotiveAddicts.com’s owner.

Speculation is that the new BMW X5 M should be similar to the X6 M in performance. BMW is probably hoping that this will attract more consumers to the Sports Utility Vehicles with having a great gain in the performance arena. The BMW X5 was already a big hit and now the BMW X5 M should not disappoint, at least not in the performance area when it may sport a new twin turbo V8 or the n/a V10 from the M5 as rumored.

My friend Horatiu at BMWBlog posted an image from the 2009 BMW Z4 catalog/brochure, a teaser photo with the new Z4. Of course from the brochure scan the image seems a bit obscured but none-the-less, you can tell what the new Z4 will actually look like. We recently posted a spy shot of the new Z4 on the set of a new upcoming movie.

As you can see from the image, the Z4 is growing in size a bit and has a few design cues maybe from the current 6 and 7 series. It is expected that BMW will be using the new 7-speed dual-clutch tranny as an option same as in the M3. Rumors are circulating that the M version of the Z4 will get a new turbo charged 6 cyl. It seems many of the upcoming BMW M models may be sporting turbos. We shall see. The pricing is expected to be around $55,000 in the US with the base model Z4 starting around $36,000.
