Miami based tuning shop, Active Autowerke has taken a BMW M3 E92 Coupe and tuned it! Among other things, Active Autowerke is an exclusive BMW Distributor for ADV 1Wheel line, the high performance wheels seen also on other modded BMWs.

The original 414 horsepower coming from the naturally aspirated, high revving 4-liter V8 engine, has been upped by 45 extra ponies. The torque numbers have also increasd by 30 ft-lbs to a total of 330 lb-ft.

Someone convince Malcolm to pay me more money so I can get one I love BMWs in Alpine white but this one is just dead sexy. Some mods take away from the car but in this case Active Autowerke did an amazing job.

A new tuning package from Avus Performance has been released for the Audi TT-RS. If you want a ridiculously fast TT-RS, then Avus Performance is your answer.

The new Avus Performance tuning package for the Audi TT-RS adds a new ECU, different turbocharger, and high performance exhaust system with racing cats. The question you are asking is; that’s it? Yes, that pretty much all they add in the power department but together it is able to take the 2.5-liter 5-cylindar engine to a 460hp and 472 lb-ft high. That is good enough to propel the TT-RS to 60 mph from a standstill in 3.8 seconds and top out at 194 mph. That’s 120hp more than the 340hp stock form that tops out at 155mph and does 0-60 in 4.6 seconds.

To safely make these performance figures the Avus Performance Tuning Kit ads 20-inch Sportec Mono wheels wrapped in 255/30/20 Hankook S1 Evo rubber and an adjustable coilover suspension setup. For aesthetics, the kit equips the Audi TT-RS with matt black vinyl wrap but we are sure you can still hit 194mph without the “horsepower stickers”.

Audi TT-RS – The new „Ur-Quattro”

Latest creation from AVUS PERFORMANCE is something special for all Audi fans, especially those who remember the Ur-Quattro with its blistering 5 cyl. turbo sound. The remake by Audi is better known as the TT-RS which shares the engine and of course the sound.

With a stock power of 340bhp and 332 lb/ft of torque it is capable of doing the 0-60 in 4.6s. AVUS PERFORMANCE takes it a step forward and improves the power and the look of the TT-RS. Adjustable coilovers and gloss black 20″ Sportec Mono wheels make the TT-RS look much more aggressive. Thanks to the special setup which improves the factory suspension even further and makes the TT run a lot smoother not only on country roads. Different setups for the race track are available either.

The matt black skin is something you will probably notice first when seeing the TT-RS. True to the motto „Gloss is out, matt is IN” tuner AVUS PERFORMANCE changes it to matt black (other colors avaiable on request). GReddy’s developed a showcase 2.0T Hyundai Genesis Coupe for the upcoming SEMA show chock full of goodies including custom bodywork and paint, suspension bits, but most importantly, a bigger intercooler, cat-back exhaust. It’ll need it to hit its 500HP goal.

As the faint report of the SEMA crazy train whistles in the distance, every tuner in the universe is coming out with their version of the next best thing, GReddy seems to be throwing everything at the Genesis Coupe this year, which was something of an unofficial darling of last years show, right up there with Nissan GT-R and Dodge Challenger. This car tarts things up with a de riguer body kit with a new front fascia and splitter, rear spoiler, side skirts, look-at-me paintjob and loud graphics, intercooler, cat-back exhaust, “racing” downpipe, an adjustable coil-over suspension and six-piston front, four-piston rear brakes.

The car coming to SEMA will have a mere 350 HP and 320 lb-ft of torque, 0-60 MPH is in the sub six second range, but the team at GReddy plan to add more goodies after the show and shoot for a lunatic-fringe 500 HP. Remember, this is a 2.0 liter turbo four pot making Corvette Z06-like horsepower.

Genesis Coupe Customized by GReddy to be Featured at SEMA Show 2009

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Oct. 6, 2009 – To enhance the tunability of its most dynamic performance car ever, Hyundai has teamed up with GReddy Performance Parts to manufacture products for the Hyundai Genesis Coupe. These high-performance parts will be displayed on the “GReddy X-Gen Street Genesis Coupe” show car at SEMA 2009. The vehicle from GReddy is designed for the enthusiast looking to make modifications for daily driving or a weekend at the track. All of the GReddy parts designed for the Genesis Coupe are planned to be released as a production kit and available for enthusiasts everywhere. The vehicle will be on display at the Hyundai booth at the SEMA Show in the Las Vegas Convention Center from Nov. 3 – Nov. 6, 2009 (Booth # 24387).

The Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T will follow the GReddy Total Tune-Up theme that will not only increase the performance of the engine, but also improve handling and braking. The finished car will blend reliable street performance with a powerful driving experience. The initial performance targets of the GReddy-powered Genesis Coupe will be 350 horsepower and 320 ft/lbs of torque with a 0-60 time under six seconds. Following SEMA, GReddy plans to make additional engine modifications, pushing horsepower to nearly 500.

“The Hyundai Genesis Coupe is a perfect car for the automotive enthusiast and the GReddy products are designed to maximize the performance capabilities of the vehicle,” said Kenji Sumino, general manager, GReddy Performance Parts. “The Genesis Coupe is the ideal car for SEMA and we are building upon the overall concepts originally designed by Hyundai engineers and are looking forward to developing a must-see car at this year’s SEMA Show.”

Mechanically, GReddy plans to include a GReddy Performance Products Turbo Upgrade Kit, large front-mounted intercooler kit, a SE Spectrum Elite cat-back exhaust system, MX racing downpipe, Type-S fully adjustable coil-over suspension and numerous other modifications. The vehicle will also feature GReddy six-piston front and four-piston rear brake calipers.

“The performance parts from GReddy allow enthusiasts to capitalize on the rear-wheel drive Genesis platform,” said Michael Deitz, manager, product development, Hyundai Motor America. “The modifications made by GReddy to the Genesis Coupe 2.0T will highlight the performance capabilities of the vehicle that can be achieved in a real-world setting.”

Styling modifications to the GReddy Genesis Coupe will include an Aero lip spoiler, carbon fiber hood, aggressive rear spoiler, Volk Racing G2 wheels and Toyo performance tires. The unique vehicle graphics will be designed and completed in collaboration with artists from Hyundai’s North American Design Center in Irvine, Calif. Inside, SEMA Show attendees will find Sparco racing seats, modified gauges, boost controller and a turbo timer as well as a remote switching system.

Not many tuners have touched the BMW Z4 let alone turned it into a tuners dream-car until now. Manhart Racing, a German company known for stuffing big V10’s and V12’s in cars that were never originally designed for them, has taken the BMW M5’s V10 and put it in one of their latest creations, a BMW Z4M. Already, the Z4 M is not slouch sharing the S54 engine from the BMW M3 producing about 343hp. Why not slap a supercharger on that inline-6, no no, Manhart had to take it a few notches up… BAAM… A big V10 powers this Z4.

Obviously stuffing the mammoth V10 from the E60 M5 was no easy task but they did that and were able to squeeze another 50hp out of it. They used the same manual 6-speed and rear differential from the donating M5. The clutch was replaced with a Fichtel & Sachs. The V10 is able exhale through an AC Schnitzer stainless steel exhaust system with HJS racing cats.

The Z4 sits on Blistein B16 PSS10 coilovers and .5x19f/235/35ZR19 fronts – 10×19 285/30ZR19 rear black BBS Challenge wheels.

With this complete package you can haul butt from a standstill to 60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds. That’s fast!

PRESS RELEASE Manhart Racing – BMW Z4 V10

HEART TRANSPLANT – 550 HP in Z4

The M version of the BMW Z4 is famously known by nature for being anything but underpowered, since the chassis of the sports convertible already has a heck of a lot of work with the 343 HP and the forward thrust in the lower gears could last forever.

As is generally known however, the sport oriented motorist can never have enough power at his command. Sufficient cause for Günther Manhart, who by now has over 25 years experience in rebuilding BMW engines – a first for Europe – to transplant a brand new, much stronger heart into the Z4. The transplantation of the ten cylinder engine from the current M5 generation into the narrow engine bay of the roadster was anything but a walk in the park and it earned the Manhart Racing engineers quite a few grey hairs. Nevertheless: everything fitted in the end and now the fire of a 5.0 litre V10 engine with an impressive output of 550 HP blazes above the front axle of the Z4. A catalytic converter, a modified DME electronic control unit and the removal of the factory-set V-Max restriction up to 250 km/h are part of the rebuild. Consistent to the M5 V10 engine Manhart Racing has treated the Z4 to an original M5 E60 6 gear manual transmission which includes a Fichtel & Sachs clutch and a M5 E60 differential. An AC Schnitzer stainless steel exhaust system with four muffler tips which was fitted with HJS racing catalytic converters caters for a perfect V10 sound at the rear.

The Manhart Z4 M V10 goes like hell and thanks to the perfectly tuned Bilstein B16 PSS10 coilovers, the virtually unrestrained power of 550 HP can be brought under control to the tarmac. Black BBS Challenge wheels rotate in the wheel arches of the Manhart Z4 M V10 with 8.5Jx19 ET35 235/35ZR19 front tyres and 10Jx19 ET20 285/30ZR19 back tyres.

Conclusion: 550 HP ten cylinders, an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, kerb weight 1450kg, 2.6kg per HP… who could guess that these impressive figures belong to a Z4? Hardly anyone, however Manhart Racing turns dreams into reality and does this with 25 years experience.
