We might as well give you this disclaimer up front: we’re about cars that go fast, not about cars that look, frankly, like something that belongs in a circus. A donked-out Caprice or Crown Vic is one thing, since even in stock form the cars handled like an apartment complex on wheels. If rolling on 22s is your thing, there’s no shortage of Crown Vics to be had on used car lots from coast to coast. Read more

Mike Musto is the car guy’s car guy. He’s run Bullrun, campaigned a vintage Dodge Charger called “Mr. Angry” in One Lap of America and has forgotten more about the pro-touring scene than you or I will ever learn. Now he’s got his own weekly series on YouTube’s Drive channel called “Big Muscle,” and if the first episode is any indication, it will be worth tuning into. Read more
The Mazda2 Versus The Wall Of Death: Video

The “Wall Of Death” is a popular carnival attraction, generally starring motorcycle riders who seemingly defy gravity by riding vintage iron on the vertical walls of a large wooden bowl. There’s physics behind the spectacle, and what at first seems impossible (or at best, just incredibly dangerous) really just relies on velocity and centrifugal force. It’s perfectly safe unless the motorcycle suddenly loses momentum, in which case bike and rider plummet back to earth in a rather unpleasant fashion. Read more
Travis Pastrana Shakes Down The Dodge Dart Rally Car: Video

Very shortly, you’ll be able to walk into a Dodge dealer and put money down on a new Dodge Dart compact sedan. While the Dart you can buy promises to be much better engineered and built than the Dodge Caliber it replaces, it’s still no match for the Dart that Travis Pastrana will be driving in the 2012 Global RallyCross season. The MINI John Cooper Works Countryman may be the most appealing car the brand has ever created. It’s got 211 horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque, it comes standard with all wheel drive and there’s plenty of room for three friends and a reasonable amount of gear. It even looks right, and you can point out to your friends that a (heavily modified) Countryman won Paris-Dakar this year and even had a few podium finishes during last year’s WRC season. Read more
The Fiat 500 Abarth Explained: Video

If you can get around the interviewer in this video, there’s a decent amount of good information about the upcoming Fiat 500 Abarth in it. For instance, Dan Fry, lead vehicle engineer, explains the differences between the 500 Abarth sold here and the same model sold in Europe. Dan covers the suspension differences between standard Fiat 500 models and 500 Abarth versions, too, and it’s pretty clear that the Abarth is more than just a trim package with a few extra horsepower. Ferrari’s big grand-tourer, the 599 GTB, has been put to pasture after a seven-year production run. Taking its place is the newly announced Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, which will make its official public debut at next week’s Geneva Motor Show. Following the release of a very unflattering spy shot, Ferrari has opted to officially release images and video of the car prior to it’s Geneva debut. Read more

We’ll be the first to admit that, like smoked beer or steak tartar, Alex Roy is an acquired taste. He may come across as arrogant, but only because he really has been there and done that, with the t-shirt to prove it. We’ll also admit to being a bit skeptical about his latest J.F Musial-inspired mission, but it didn’t take long for this video to suck us in. Read more
