McLaren’s latest and greatest for the “mainstream” supercar buyer at the top-end of the scale is the new 675LT. Such a vehicle is claimed to be 90% or so of what the McLaren P1 hypercar offers but wrapped up in a somewhat practical package that one could “afford” within the common upper-class status. Motor Trend gets their hands on two McLaren 675LTs, which of only 500 will be made. As the 666-horsepower 675LT is a 650S with the dials turned up to 11, Jonny Lieberman attempts to explain and demonstrate why the 675LT is the one to get for a modern-day supercar. Additionally, pro-driver Randy Pobst takes the 675LT around Willow Springs for a run-down of how it performs when pushed to the limit.
