Infiniti is poised to appease enthusiasts at the upcoming SEMA event by showcasing a range of exciting factory accessories for the Q50 Red Sport 400, a sports sedan known for its long-standing combination of style and performance. While the Q50 Red Sport 400 is already a standout in the world of performance sedans and has aged with grace, some enthusiasts yearn for more personalization and enhancements to their vehicles, and Infiniti is ready to meet those desires with a host of new accessories and components. If Infiniti isn’t going to give us a newer Q50 than we suppose the next best thing is to offer up some nice factory add-ons.
One of the highlights of this accessory lineup is the set of 19-inch wheels, crafted by the Nissan Motorsport (Nismo) division. These wheels are constructed from forged aluminum alloys, bearing a design heavily inspired by the world of motorsport. What sets these wheels apart is the choice offered to customers: they can opt for Nismo center caps or Infiniti center caps, and the finish can be selected from a palette of black, anthracite, or bronze semi-gloss options. These 9.5-inch wide wheels are versatile, fitting seamlessly on both the Q50 and its sibling, the Q60, in their standard configurations or the high-performance Red Sport 400 trim.
Beneath the familiar exterior, you’ll find a range of improvements geared towards enhancing the car’s handling capabilities. These include new front upper arms and rear traction rods, which together contribute to superior cornering and handling characteristics, promising an even more thrilling driving experience. The performance upgrade extends to the braking system as well, with the addition of Performance Street brake pads, housed within vibrant red-painted brake calipers adorned with Infiniti logos.

Notably, the 3.0-liter turbocharged engine now boasts a billet-aluminum coolant expansion tank with a significantly increased capacity – a remarkable 70 percent larger than the standard unit. In addition, an auxiliary intercooler tank has been introduced, providing an extra 1.7 gallons of coolant to aid in heat management. Complementing these improvements are a CARB-approved cold-air intake and a new heat exchanger, all of which promise to elevate the car’s overall performance and efficiency. Mobil 1 0W-20 full synthetic motor oil takes care of the engine’s vital lubrication needs, ensuring that the heart of the Q50 Red Sport 400 runs smoothly.
While these enhancements are bound to excite Infiniti enthusiasts, it’s important to note that there is no official word regarding an increase in the car’s power output. However, we think some extra power will be part of the deal as the VQ-series turbo V6 engine is well known for receiving some power-adding modifications to ‘boost’ its 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque.
Infiniti is making these enticing upgrades available to both new car buyers and those who already own the Q50 Red Sport 400. The automaker plans to offer these components for sale on its Infiniti Motorsport website in the near future, providing an easy avenue for enthusiasts to personalize and enhance their vehicles.
