The Ford Bronco has never been shy about embracing adventure, but for 2027, the iconic SUV is taking a fresh approach that combines serious off-road hardware with a lifestyle-focused personality. Enter the new Ford Bronco Filson Edition, a special collaboration that revives the spirit of the beloved Eddie Bauer Broncos of the 1990s while adding modern performance and upscale craftsmanship. For outdoor enthusiasts who appreciate both backcountry exploration and refined design, this latest Bronco appears to strike a compelling balance.

Ford’s partnership with Filson, the Seattle-based outdoor apparel brand known for its rugged heritage and premium gear, feels like a natural fit. Building on a previous collaboration that honored wildland firefighters and supported conservation efforts, the production-ready Bronco Filson Edition incorporates a variety of unique interior touches inspired by Filson’s signature products. Quilted leather surfaces, woven seat materials influenced by the brand’s iconic twill fabric, and tasteful bronze accents throughout the cabin create an atmosphere that feels distinctly upscale without abandoning the Bronco’s adventurous roots.

While the visual enhancements certainly help the Filson Edition stand apart, the real surprise lies under the hood. Ford has equipped the special edition Bronco with a version of the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 found in the Bronco Raptor. Although it will not deliver the Raptor’s full output, expectations point toward horsepower figures landing somewhere in the high-300 range. More importantly, Ford says the engine has been tuned to provide a smoother, more everyday-friendly driving experience while still delivering noticeably quicker acceleration than the standard Bronco’s 2.7-liter V6. That should translate into a 0-to-60 mph sprint comfortably in the mid-five-second range.

The Filson Edition is far more than an appearance package. Every model comes standard with Ford’s highly regarded Sasquatch package, bringing electronic locking front and rear differentials, 35-inch all-terrain tires, Fox internal-bypass dampers, and a suite of advanced off-road technologies. Features such as Trail Turn Assist and Trail 1-Pedal Drive further enhance the Bronco’s trail-conquering credentials. Ford engineers also revised the suspension tuning to improve on-road comfort while maintaining the capability buyers expect from a Bronco wearing the Sasquatch badge.

Another noteworthy addition is a stiffer body structure paired with power-operated running boards. The enhanced rigidity is designed to improve overall refinement and handling, while the retractable steps make daily entry and exit more convenient without sacrificing valuable ground clearance on the trail. It is a thoughtful combination of practicality and performance that aligns well with the Filson Edition’s premium positioning.

Ford has not yet released official pricing, but given the extensive equipment list, premium interior treatments, and upgraded powertrain, expectations are that the Bronco Filson will start north of $65,000. Orders are scheduled to open this fall, with deliveries expected to begin in early 2027. As Ford continues expanding its lineup of lifestyle-focused special editions, the Bronco Filson may prove to be one of the most appealing combinations of style, comfort, and authentic off-road capability the brand has offered in years.
