Opting for the new 2022 Civic Hatchback there’s a premium to pay over the Sedan. The new Civic Sedan LX starts at $21,700 while the new Civic Hatchback LX starts at $22,900. In either configuration, EPA fuel estimates are good, sitting at 30 mpg city and 38 mpg highway. There’s also a decent list of standard features, such as the highlights of Apple CarPlay integration, auto on-off LED headlights, 7-inch color infotainment touchscreen, automatic climate control, and a bevy of active safety features like lane-keeping assist, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, traffic sign recognition, and a multi-angle rearview camera.
Honda has done well to inspire and bring back the fun-to-drive nature of the Civic, especially with the Sport and Touring trim levels. The welcomed upgrades for the top-level Touring trim include a larger 9-inch infotainment touchscreen, 18-inch wheels, foglights, auto-dimming review mirror, power-adjustable front seats, 12-speak Bose premium audio system, automatic wipers, front and rear parking sensors, low-speed automatic emergency braking, and leather upholstery. The 2022 Honda Civic Touring Sedan, for reference, will cost around $28,300 before fees and dealer-installed options.
