BMW 2 Series Refresh
The 2025 BMW 2 Series marks the first refresh of this generation, featuring enhanced technology, a redesigned center stack, and subtle design adjustments.
Exterior and Color Options
At first glance, the exterior of the 2 Series remains largely familiar, but BMW has introduced a refreshed color palette. New colors include:
- Vegas Red Metallic
- Skyscraper Grey Metallic
- Frozen Pure Grey Metallic
- Frozen Portimao Blue II Metallic
- Zandvoort Blue, previously exclusive to the M2
Additionally, the M240i variant showcases new “M” badges on the front fenders and lower front opening. BMW also offers new 19-inch wheel designs and a new M Sport Professional Package, combining several Shadowline options.

Powertrains
The powertrains for both the 230i and M240i remain unchanged. The 230i features a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The M240i comes with a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine, delivering 382 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. Both models are available with rear-wheel drive or xDrive all-wheel drive, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Interior Enhancements
Inside, the 2025 2 Series sports a new center stack design that incorporates BMW’s latest air vent design, reducing the number of physical buttons and controls. Above the stack is an upgraded infotainment system, now running on iDrive 8.5, a significant improvement over iDrive 8. Enhanced ambient lighting with nine color options adds a stylish touch.

The 230i features a new two-spoke steering wheel with a polygonal rim, while the M240i and 230i with the M Sport Package come with a new flat-bottom steering wheel with a red center marker and M tricolor stitching. A new Tacora Red interior color and two new open-pore wood trim options are also available.
Pricing
The updated 2025 BMW 2 Series models see a price increase, partly due to a higher destination charge.
