The 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance kicked off over the weekend with a many one-of-a-kind vehicles in within the best company possible. BMW in partnership with Andrea Zagato set themselves up with a challenge to prepare a roadster version of the BMW Zagato Coupe that originally debuted at the Concorso d’Eleganza earlier this year.
The new BMW Zagato Roadster, lightly based on the BMW Z4, features the “three dimensional” front end with large intakes, a contoured bonnet, prominent air scoops and black A-pillars. The BMW Zagato Roadster does not sway too far from its unique Zagato Coupe sibling.
Interior proportions of the BMW Zagato Roadster have been left virtually unchanged from the Coupe version. The Zagato Roadster used lustrous brown leather covering the roll-over bars, dashboard and even the door sills.
Currently there are no details for putting either BMW Zagato Coupe or Roadster into production.
