We recently had a chance to experience the 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, and essentially walked away wanting to order one to put in the Automotive Addicts garage. For the 2024 model year, Cadillac celebrates the 20th anniversary of its esteemed “V” series with updates to the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing models. These high-performance vehicles come with exciting new features, including fresh colors and content, while paying homage to the legacy of the V-Series.

One notable update for the CT5-V Blackwing is the inclusion of GM’s Super Cruise driver assistance feature. When paired with the 10-speed automatic transmission, Super Cruise allows for hands-free driving and automatic lane changes on select U.S. roads. This advanced technology enhances the driving experience, prioritizing safety and convenience.

To mark two decades of Cadillac V-Series models, the CT5-V Blackwing boasts additional distinctive elements. It features a special grille header and rocker identification, providing a unique aesthetic. Furthermore, the driver information display showcases a captivating “wake-up” animation, adding a touch of exclusivity to the vehicle. The 2024 model year also introduces a range of new color options, including Velocity Red, Cyber Yellow Metallic, Coastal Blue Metallic, and Black Diamond Tricoat, allowing drivers to personalize their Blackwing to their preferences.

The CT4-V Blackwing, the smaller sibling of the CT5-V Blackwing, receives similar upgrades for the 2024 model year. It shares the same special grille header and rocker identification, along with the distinctive “wake-up” animation. However, the Super Cruise feature is not available for the CT4-V Blackwing.

Under the hood, the CT4-V Blackwing retains its impressive power. Equipped with a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, it delivers a robust 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. The vehicle continues to offer a standard six-speed manual transmission, with an optional 10-speed automatic available. The CT4-V Blackwing also features the standard Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 suspension, providing exceptional handling. For those seeking enhanced performance, an optional aero package is offered, which generates the highest downforce ever seen in a V-Series model.
