2024 Buick Envision Avenir in Moonstone Gray Metallic

Buick recently provided a sneak peek of its upcoming 2024 model, the updated Envision compact crossover, and now we have a few more details. Set to hit dealerships later this year, the Envision has been a popular choice since its introduction in 2021. Buick reports that sales of the current Envision have been the strongest they’ve ever been, surpassing previous records. With the introduction of the 2024 model, Buick aims to further increase demand by offering refreshed styling both inside and out, along with the inclusion of Super Cruise, a driver-assist feature from General Motors.

While full details regarding the 2024 Envision are yet to be revealed, teaser photos provide some insights into its design. From an exterior perspective, the Envision exhibits a striking new front appearance inspired by Buick’s Wildcat EV concept showcased in 2022. This design showcases a forward-leaning nose, slit-shaped lights, and an updated tri-shield Buick badge. Inside, the Envision boasts a new dashboard featuring a curved floating panel that houses the digital instrument cluster, which is likely to incorporate the infotainment screen as well. This design approach is consistent with the updated Encore GX subcompact crossover and Envista compact crossover, both set to launch alongside the Envision in 2024.

While specific powertrain details for the 2024 Envision are yet to be disclosed, the current model is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine generating 228 horsepower. This engine is coupled with a 9-speed automatic transmission and offers a choice between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.

It is worth noting that the Envision holds historical significance as General Motors’ first Chinese-made vehicle sold in the United States. The updated Envision will continue to be sourced from China, along with the new Envista model.

Buick is set to unveil the complete details of the 2024 Envision later this year, building anticipation for the arrival of the refreshed compact crossover at dealerships.
