Volkswagen’s eagerly awaited ID. Buzz is soon to make its debut in showrooms, with the 2025 model presenting enthusiasts with a plethora of enticing options. This retro-inspired electric van will roll out in three trim levels, offering buyers a range of choices to suit their preferences.

Set to hit the market as a long-wheelbase variant, the 2025 ID. Buzz packs in a 91-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery and a standard single electric motor delivering 282 horsepower to the rear wheels. For those craving even more power and versatility, an optional 4Motion all-wheel-drive system is available that comes with a second motor and ramps up horsepower to 335 ponies.

Excitingly, customization options abound with a wide range of colors and combinations. From classic single-tone choices like Metro Silver, Candy White, and Deep Black Pearl to vibrant two-tone selections, including Energetic Orange, Pomelo Yellow, and more, buyers can tailor their ID. Buzz to reflect their personality and style.

Inside, the American market is treated to three distinctive combinations: Moonlight, Dune, and Copper, each blending various trim, upholstery, and piping hues. Leatherette upholstery comes standard, ensuring a touch of luxury awaits every occupant.

Trim levels cater to diverse needs, with the Pro S model boasting an array of features like 20-inch wheels, power-operated sliding doors, and Volkswagen’s IQ.Drive suite of driving aids. Moving up, the Pro S Plus offers additional amenities such as a premium sound system and a head-up display, while the exclusive 1st Edition promises unique touches like specific exterior emblems and heritage-inspired floor mats.

Stepping up to the Pro S Plus and 1st Edition variants expands the options further. Here, both RWD and all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations are on offer, allowing drivers to tailor their vehicle to suit different driving conditions and preferences. In the RWD models of the Pro S Plus lineup, the inclusion of a bench seat remains standard, ensuring ample space for passengers. For those desiring a slightly different seating arrangement, an optional captain’s chair package is available, providing seating for six occupants, enhancing comfort and customization options.

The 1st Edition models, whether RWD or AWD, come with a rear bench as the default seating configuration, maintaining a balance between seating capacity and functionality. Notably, for those opting for the added traction and stability of AWD in the Pro S Plus and 1st Edition models, captain’s chairs are included as standard, offering a premium seating experience for passengers. This thoughtful approach to seating configurations underscores the commitment to versatility and comfort across the Pro S lineup, ensuring there’s an option to suit every preference and lifestyle.

Though pricing and detailed specifications are yet to be unveiled, anticipation is building as the ID. Buzz prepares to make its mark on the electric vehicle landscape, promising an exciting blend of retro charm and cutting-edge technology.
