The newest raging Bull is currently on display at the Geneva Motor Show. The new Aventador touts more power and less emissions from its all new 6.5-liter 690 horsepower 509 foot-pounds of torque naturally aspirated V12 engine.
The new Aventador also features a carbon fiber composite monocoque shell design providing extremely high structural rigidity while remaining light weight. Power from the V12 is directed through a 7-speed ISR (Independent Shifting Rods) Graziano single-clutch transmission. Shifts should come in at 50 milliseconds in its most aggressive ‘Corsa’ mode setting. Top speed is said to be above a previous stated 217mph. To slow things down, the new Aventador will feature massive 15.74-inch front ceramic rotors. To keep things in line, the staggered sized wheels are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero 255/55/19-inch front and 335/30/20-inch rear tires.
Price estimates for the new 2012 Lamborghini LP700-4 Aventador come in at $370,000. U.S. deliveries should start at the end of October 2011.
The guys at MotorTrend have brought one of the first videos taking a close glimpse at the new LP700-4 Aventador. We get to hear the heart of the Aventador, the monstrous direct-injection V12. Enjoy!
