2008-2010 BMW 1-Series Recalled for Potential Fire Risk

BMW has stopped delivery on 1 Series models produced between January 2010 and May 2010 while issuing a recall on certain 2008 to 2010 1-Series models. The recall is due to an insufficient clearance between the seat belt tensioners in the B-pillar and the insulating material around it. During a crash, the insulation surrounding the tensioners could become overheated and catch fire.

Owners should contact BMW at 1-800-525-7417 with any questions regarding this recall.
