Fresh off of the heels of Motor Trend getting slight criticism for their selection of cars to pit against each other in recent tests, they take two more vehicles not-so-equally matched on paper, the new 2013 BMW M5 and Porsche Panamera GTS, and run them against each other.
Numbers wise, the new 2013 BMW M5 is ‘supposed to be‘ pumping out 560 horsepower to turn the rear wheels while the Porsche Panamera GTS is rated at only 430 horsepower to send to all four wheels. The new M5 weighs about 39 pounds more than the Panamera GTS but with about 130 horsepower and 196 pound-feet of torque more than Porsche, the M5 is expected to be the victor from the get-go. Hit up the ‘head 2 head’ match video below of these mighty German V8 sedans to see which one takes the checkered flag.
