I had the pleasure of reviewing the all-new 2015 Yukon Denali a couple weeks ago. GMC has put together a hard to beat formula: equal parts beauty and beast. Of course the tuners at Hennessey decided that the Yukon wasn’t beastly enough and slapped on a supercharger, resulting in a 665-horsepower rocket that is capable of taking 7 people to the grocery store. Zero to sixty whisks by in a time that was reserved for supercars and slick bearing hotrods not too long ago, an almost unbelievable 4.5 seconds. That is the same amount of time it takes in the Lamborghini Diablo.
The Hennessey Yukon is available in three levels of “beastiness.” The 6.2L V8 can be be optioned as the HPE550 with 557 horsepower, the HPE600 with 605 hp, or the HPE650 boasting the almost ludicrous 665 hp.
