If you really needed a reason to come to the February 2015 Automotive Addicts Cars & Coffee, then here it is:

What you’re looking at is the V8 Chevy powered 1959 Ferrari 250 GT PF Coupe owned by the author of “Bowtie Ferraris” Randy Cook that will be displayed prominently at Saturday’s show. Before you get all preachy about “ruining” a priceless Ferrari with a Chevy motor you need to realize that the conversion is a big part of Ferrari’s history in the United States. Created out of necessity, the Chevy powertrain allowed the Italian sports cars to stay on the road during the 50’s and 60’s when buying Ferrari parts in the US was nearly impossible.
The history of the Bowtie Ferrari is well document in Randy’s book of the same name. Cook’s book covers the history of the transplant and documents over 70 of the American powered Italian sports car in great detail.
If you can’t wait until Saturday to learn more about this fascinating vehicle, make sure to visit Randy’s website at www.racmotorsportspublishing.
Join us Saturday, February 14, 2015 from 8-11am at 1 Riverside Avenue to see Randy’s brilliant 1959 Ferrari 250 GT PF Coupe and hundreds of other enthusiast vehicles at Automotive Addicts Cars & Coffee!
