Mazda is introducing an exciting upgrade to its 2023 Mazda3, CX-30, and CX-5 lineups with the introduction of the Carbon Turbo package. This new package follows the concept of the previously released Carbon Edition for these models, focusing on enhancing the aesthetics with darkened styling elements. However, there is a notable difference this time. While the earlier models were exclusively offered in Polymetal Gray, the Carbon Turbo models will be exclusively available in Zircon Sand Metallic.
Although Mazda has only revealed an exterior group shot of the models, they have yet to showcase the interiors. However, it has been disclosed that the interiors will boast Terracotta accents, complemented by black suede and gunmetal accents.
On the outside, the Carbon Turbo package will feature gloss black accents on the side mirrors and front grille, along with stylish black wheels and other eye-catching embellishments.
Significantly, the Carbon Turbo models will occupy a prominent position near the top of the lineup, being equipped with the turbocharged engine available in each of the model lines.
It is expected that these models will be positioned just below the top-tier 2.5 Turbo Signature variants, which is satisfactory considering the impressive features already present in the regular Turbo model. Powering these models is the Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter turbocharged engine, capable of producing 256 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque when fueled with 93 octane gas. However, if fueled with 87 octane, the engine output is slightly reduced to 227 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. All Carbon Turbo models will come with a six-speed automatic transmission and i-Activ all-wheel drive.
Mazda has stated that the final pricing and specifications will be disclosed later when the comprehensive details of the respective MY24 model lines are unveiled.
