The new 2024 Ford Mustang has naturally gained some curiosity not just among Mustang fans and owners but those who look to see what the last standing pony car will offer, as there will soon be no other rear-wheel-drive V8-powered vehicle with an available manual transmission. Yes, that’s right, the Dodge Challenger and Chevrolet Camaro are the last of the muscle cars that you could have had with a naturally aspirated V8, rear-wheel-drive, and the option of a manual transmission, will reach the end of their gas-burning road this year.

We didn’t yet get our hands on the new 2024 Mustang. However, today, those who did get to experience the new Mustang have dropped their reviews revealing what it’s like behind the wheel of the new pony car from Ford. So far, the reviews have settled on the positive side of what Ford has done with the new Mustang. The 5.0-liter V8 returns this time with 480 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque (486 hp/418 lb-ft with the performance pack $1,225 active exhaust) available with a 10-speed automatic transmission or the MT-82 Getrag 6-speed manual, while the EcoBoost Mustang gets 315 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque and only gets the 10-speed automatic transmission.

Zero to 60 mph times come in at 5.3 seconds for the EcoBoost Mustang and as fast as 4 seconds flat for the 5.0-liter V8 with the 10-speed automatic transmission. One of the complaints thus far seems to surround the steering feel, which is mostly numb and too light for most tastes.

We’ve shared some of our favorite video reviews of the new 2024 Mustang below for your enjoyment.
