Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the pricing and specifications for its all-electric AMG EQE SUV. As expected, the performance-oriented electric vehicle comes well-equipped in its standard trim and offers even more luxury features and accessories in the higher-tier Pinnacle trim.
Starting at $109,300 before the $1,150 deliver and destination charge, the standard trim of the AMG EQE SUV boasts an array of premium features. On the exterior, it flaunts digital headlights and a panoramic sunroof. Inside, buyers are treated to the impressive MBUX Hyperscreen, which combines a 12.3-inch passenger display, a 17.7-inch center screen, and a 12.3-inch driver’s display.
The MBUX system includes satellite navigation and the Burmester 3D Surround Sound System with Dolby Atmos for a superior audio experience. On the convenience and safety front, the vehicle is equipped with wireless mobile device charging, Active Park Assist with a surround-view monitor, and the brand’s Driver Assistance Package Plus. Nappa leather upholstery adorns the seats and interior trim, adding to the luxurious feel.
Performance enthusiasts will enjoy AMG EQE SUV even more as it gets AMG’s air suspension and adaptive damping, along with Active Rear-Axle Steering as standard, ensuring a dynamic driving experience.
For those seeking more luxury and additional features, the Pinnacle trim is available for an extra $3,300, priced at $112,600. It includes all the standard features and adds four-zone climate control, interior ambient lighting, and an impressive augmented video for navigation. Moreover, the Pinnacle trim offers animated AMG projectors for the front doors and an exclusive head-up display with AMG-specific content.
Buyers looking for a sportier design can opt for one of two exterior design packages: the AMG Night Package and the AMG Night Package Plus. These packages introduce a sinister black chrome, gloss black accents, and exclusive 21- and 22-inch wheels. Additionally, buyers can choose between MB-Tex/microfiber upholstery or Nappa leather, and the steering wheel can be trimmed in Nappa leather/microfiber or microfiber/carbon fiber combinations.
The AMG EQE SUV models destined for the United States won’t receive the AMG Dynamic Plus package as standard, but it will be available as an optional extra. Equipping this package provides a Race Start function that boosts the power output to an impressive 677 horsepower and a substantial 738 lb-ft of torque. As a result, the performance EV achieves a swift 0-60 mph time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 149 mph. However, official range figures have not been shared by Mercedes yet.
While the AMG EQE SUV boasts remarkable performance and luxury, it faces competition from the Tesla Model X Plaid, which is available at a lower price and offers an astonishing 1,020 horsepower, making it considerably faster. However, we know well that the fit and finish, along with the luxury theme of the Mercedes is miles ahead of the Tesla Model X, no matter the trim.
As a quick note, for buyers looking for a comfortable daily commuter, the regular EQE lineup offers a good value for the money, with prices starting from $77,900.
