The 2024 Porsche Macan EV marks a milestone for Porsche as it introduces its second all-electric model. The new Macan, available in both Macan 4 and Macan Turbo variants, aims to combine sports-car-like performance with the practicality and usability expected from an SUV.

One of the key highlights is the powertrain capability, with the Macan Turbo reaching an impressive 470 kW (630 hp) on any terrain. The electric motors, powered by a 100 kWh lithium-ion battery with an 800-volt architecture, contribute to top-class E-Performance. The Macan 4 and Macan Turbo achieve acceleration figures of 4.9 seconds and 3.1 seconds from 0 to 60 mph, respectively, showcasing their high-performance capabilities.

The 800-volt architecture allows for fast charging, with a charging capability of up to 270 kW. The battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 21 minutes under ideal conditions. Additionally, regenerative braking enables up to 240 kW of power to be recuperated while driving, contributing to energy efficiency.

Porsche has prioritized driving dynamics in the Macan, offering optional rear-axle steering and two-valve dampers. The Macan models feature all-wheel drive with electronically controlled Porsche Traction Management, providing quick responses to wheelspin. The air suspension and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) electronic damping control come standard, offering a balance between comfort and performance.

In terms of design, the Macan maintains the classic Porsche proportions but adapts them to the challenges of an electric vehicle. The shallow hood pitch, pronounced fenders, and sleek lines contribute to a dynamic appearance. Active and passive aerodynamics, including Porsche Active Aerodynamics, optimize the Macan’s aerodynamic efficiency with a drag coefficient of 0.25.

Inside, the Macan offers increased interior space and practicality, with customizable options featuring high-quality and sustainable materials. The driver experience is enhanced with advanced technology, including up to three screens, Android Automotive OS-based infotainment, and a head-up display with augmented reality technology.

Porsche emphasizes sustainability in the new Macan, offering leather-free seats and using recycled interior elements. The Macan is equipped with the latest connectivity features, including the “Hey Porsche” voice assistant and the new Porsche App Center.

The 2024 Porsche Macan is available for order, with deliveries expected in the second half of the year. The starting MSRP for the Macan 4 is $78,800, and the Macan Turbo is priced at $105,300, excluding a $1,650 delivery, processing, and handling fee. EPA range figures will be provided closer to the delivery date.
