Pagani has unleashed its latest marvel onto the automotive world: the Pagani Huayra R Evo. This powerhouse represents an evolution of the already formidable Huayra R track car, boasting enhancements that push its performance boundaries even further. One of the most striking features of this new iteration is its innovative pop-out roof panels, designed not just for aesthetic appeal but also to enhance aerodynamic downforce when removed.

Under the hood lies the heart of the beast, an updated version of the Huayra R’s renowned naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 engine, now dubbed the V12 R-Evo. This powerhouse churns out a staggering 900 horsepower and 567 pounds-feet of torque, thanks to ingenious tweaks such as a redesigned intake manifold and camshafts, as well as an optimized exhaust system.

Translating this immense power to the road is Pagani’s meticulously crafted six-speed sequential gearbox, developed in collaboration with HWA AG, renowned for its expertise in high-performance automotive engineering. Weighing in at a mere 176 pounds, this gearbox ensures lightning-fast shifts and maximum power delivery to the rear wheels. Total weight for the hypercar is at an astonishing 2,337 pounds.

But the Huayra R Evo isn’t just about raw power; it’s engineered to provide a balanced and exhilarating driving experience. Its forged aluminum alloy double-wishbone suspension, helical springs, and electronically controlled shock absorbers ensure precise handling and ride comfort, while a new heave damper further enhances its cornering prowess.

With a top speed of 218 miles per hour, this supercar demands equally impressive stopping power. Pagani has equipped the Huayra R Evo with state-of-the-art CCM-R self-ventilated carbon ceramic brakes and bespoke racing pads, ensuring that it can come to a halt with confidence and precision.

Visually, the Huayra R Evo sports the signature “codalunga” treatment, featuring extended front and rear sections that not only enhance aerodynamics but also exude an aggressive and purposeful demeanor. The open-top configuration not only adds to the car’s allure but also contributes to a 5 percent increase in total downforce, further enhancing its stability and performance at high speeds.

Inside the cockpit, the Huayra R Evo offers a perfect blend of luxury and functionality. The seats, upholstered in fireproof material, feature six-point harnesses and carbon-fiber headrests for maximum safety and comfort. Whether configured for left- or right-hand drive, every detail reflects Pagani’s unwavering commitment to craftsmanship and excellence.

Inspired by the adrenaline-fueled world of motorsport, Horacio Pagani conceived the idea for the open-top Evo while watching a Formula Indy race in Nashville. After two years of relentless dedication and meticulous engineering, Pagani has created a masterpiece that can rival the performance of today’s Le Mans Prototype 2 race cars. Now, it’s up to the fortunate few who will own this masterpiece to put its capabilities to the test on the open road.
