Ford has been making rather interesting adjustments to the pricing of its 2024 F-150 Lightning lineup, with several fluctuations observed over the past months. Initially, there were notable decreases in prices reported in July last year, with reductions ranging from $6,079 to $9,979 compared to the previous model. This move brought down the MSRP range of the 2023 trucks across various trims. However, by October, prices saw a predominantly upward trend, with most trims experiencing price increases alongside a rise in destination charges. Notably, the Lariat base price saw a substantial increase due to changes in battery options. Additionally, a new Flash trim was introduced to bridge the pricing gap between the XLT and Lariat trims.

In January of this year, Automotive News highlighted further price adjustments, with almost all trims experiencing higher pricing compared to the previous update. This included increases ranging from $4,000 to $6,500 across different trims, except for the Platinum trim, which saw a reduction. Fast forward to the present, and there have been more adjustments in pricing, this time in favor of buyers. The most recent changes include reductions ranging from $2,000 to $5,500 across various trims, providing potential savings for interested customers.

These price adjustments were confirmed through a dealer bulletin and discussions on the F-150 Lightning Forum, supported by information from a Ford dealer video. However, as of the latest update, the 2024 F-150 Lightning models are not yet available on Ford’s retail website, with only the 2023 models listed. Despite the changes in pricing, prospective buyers are advised to conduct thorough research, considering differences in standard equipment and new features introduced in the 2024 models, such as the addition of a heat pump.

With plenty of 2023 F-150 Lightnings still in dealer inventory, shoppers have the opportunity to explore various deals and trims not offered in the 2024 lineup. For those who find the current prices unfavorable, patience may be key as further adjustments could occur over time.
