Bottom line from the US Automakers: Pay $25 billion now or risk over $150 billion with millions of jobs lost later if nothing is done. Pretty serious if you ask me!
GM produced a video just recently that features the automaker’s Facts and Fiction website where they paint a not-so-pretty picture of how the domestic auto industry effects our nation including nation security and economic security. Even though the American auto industry employs about 239,000 people it would reach far more than that when you think about the suppliers and dealerships, and that’s just for the big 3 automakers.
