We anticipate the 2017 Camaro ZL1 and/or the Z/28 dropping very soon at the upcoming Chicago Auto Show next month or the New York Auto Show in March. Either way, we have an exclusive video to share of what some speculate to be the upcoming ZL1 or Z/28 getting in some hard test runs at the Nurbugring.
From the sound of the video it could go either way with the ZL1 featuring the Corvette Z06 and CTS-V’s LT4 6.2-liter Supercharged V8 or a natural aspirated version of the Corvette engine tuned to well over 500 horsepower for the Z/28. If you listen closely, it sounds a little like supercharger whine at about 0:32-0:35 seconds. Though, that could be the whisper of a healthy intake manifold on a naturally aspirated V8.
We won’t draw any additional speculations here. Just enjoy the video for now.
