I have always been enamored with BMW M vehicles, and ever since owning my E46 M3 and driving countless BMWs for reviews, I have been a diehard fan for life. In the scheme of what’s new from BMW M, the latest M3 and M4 are quite the performance machines. Today, BMW unleashes a new page for the latest BMW M3, the high-performance 2024 BMW M3 CS (Competition Sport).

The new 2024 BMW M3 CS brings us a new height for power, the most ever in an M3 touting 543 horsepower and 479- lb-ft of torque from its TwinPower Turbo inline6-cylinder engine mated to an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission. The unique highlights of the new BMW M3 CS include V-spoke forged M light-alloy 19-inch and 20-inch rear wheels wrapped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. M Carbon ceramic brakes in red or gold are available to replace the M Compound brakes in red or black. Total curb weight comes to 3,915 pounds, which is a 75 pound savings over the M3 Competition xDrive.

Zero to 60 mph takes place in 3.2 seconds and top speed is limited to 188 mph while you still get all of the bells and whistles of an M Sport Differential, adaptive M suspension, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration fed through the 12.3-inch digital touchscreen, blindspot detection, frontal collision warning/mitigation, lane departure warning, and a Harmon Kardon sound system.

Production of the new 2024 BMW M3 CS starts in March 2023 with a starting MSRP of $119,695, which includes a destination charge of $995.

Update: We were able to see the new 2024 BMW M3 CS in person at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona race. Here are a few photos of it in person…
