Lexus Turns The LX Into An OZmazing Wicked Karaoke Lounge On Wheels

If you have ever walked out of a showing of Wicked with those songs stuck in your head, Lexus just built the SUV of your Broadway dreams. For the New York City green carpet premiere of Universal Pictures’ Wicked: For Good, the brand has pulled the cover off a custom “Wicked: For Good Karaoke LX” that leans all the way into the world of Oz, complete with microphones and fan favorite tracks ready to belt out.

The one-off LX is themed around the story’s two iconic witches, Elphaba and Glinda, and Lexus clearly had fun turning a luxury SUV into rolling fan service. The idea is simple but clever: use the LX as a canvas for the two characters’ clashing personalities, then layer in an interior that feels like an Emerald City karaoke lounge for you and your friends.

On the outside, the Wicked: For Good Karaoke LX looks nothing like the reserved SUVs usually parked in front of Lincoln Center. One side of the custom wrap is a deep emerald green, the other is a dazzling, bubblegum pink, with shimmering gold accents tying the whole thing together. Gold badging and wheels push the theatrical look even further, and a custom Wicked: For Good vanity plate makes sure no one mistakes this SUV for a regular production model. Lexus wants the exterior to mirror Elphaba’s strength and mystery on one side and Glinda’s glittery glamour on the other, and at a glance it absolutely reads that way.

Step inside and things get even more theatrical. The LX’s already plush cabin has been “costumed” to match the outside, with pink and green upholstered seats that feel straight out of a backstage dressing room. Matching pink and green mood lighting zones wash the interior in whichever witch you are feeling most like that night, while custom floor mats continue the Emerald City theme underfoot. It is playful, a little over the top, and exactly what you would expect from a movie tie in built for a premiere green carpet.

Of course, the real hook here is the karaoke factor. Lexus has turned the LX into a group sing along machine, complete with microphones and an interactive sound system tuned for fans who know every word. The playlist pulls from the first film’s signature tracks, so you can queue up “What Is This Feeling?”, “The Wizard and I”, “Popular” or the inevitable showstopper, “Defying Gravity.” It is easy to imagine cast members or VIP guests rolling up to the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and warming up their vocals on the way.

Lexus describes the Wicked: For Good Karaoke LX as more than just a design exercise, calling it an experience that celebrates imagination, artistry and self expression. That might sound like marketing speak, but this is exactly the kind of big swing that keeps premieres feeling special. For Wicked fans, it is a love letter on wheels. For Lexus, it is a reminder that its big SUV can wear some wild outfits while still delivering the comfort, power and tech that buyers expect.

The timing is all about the film. The custom LX takes its bow on the green carpet in New York as Wicked: For Good, the epic conclusion to the two part cinematic adaptation, gets ready to arrive in theaters on November 21, 2025. The movie brings Elphaba and Glinda’s story to a close. This LX gives that finale a little extra Broadway style flair, turning the trip to the premiere into part of the show.

Will any of this make its way to a showroom near you? Probably not in pink and green with gold wheels. But the idea of making in car tech more social and more fun, especially for road trips and nights out, feels like a peek at where the industry could be headed. For now, though, this Wicked: For Good Karaoke LX is exactly what it looks like: a big, bold, Emerald City party on four wheels that invites fans to climb in, grab the mic and “Experience OZmazing” for themselves.
