The Ford Focus RS is a serious contender when put up against other hot pocket rockets rooming the streets of Europe and America.
You will not find any Ford Focus RS’s in the states just yet. Rumors are starting to circulate about Fords new “Fast” (no pun intended VW) coming to America.
The Ford Focus RS’s architect, Jost Capito, actually works in Detroit holding a position as head of Ford’s global performance division… if there is such an “official” department for that now. We recently posted images of the Ford Focus RS out in on the streets of Royal Oak, Michigan. Maybe it was Jost Capito’s car? Some automotive enthusiasts speculate that the Focus RS will be brought to the US after the release of the next generation Focus, which is due out next year. Is it really worth the wait for a 2.5-liter turbo charged 5-cyl. 300+hp front wheel drive Ford Focus hatchback? Sure, we might have to take a trip to Europe to find out.
