This week Ford has confirmed the power output figures for their new flat-plane crank naturally-aspirated 5.2-liter V8 in the Shelby GT350 at 526 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 429 lb-ft of torque at 4,750 rpm. Another thing to note, the redline of the V8 engine is at 8,250 rpm, which gives that max output figure a little extra time to lay down its magic to the rear wheels.

With 102 horsepower per liter, a 8,250 rpm redline, and a weight mass lower than the 5.0-liter Coyote V8 in the Mustang GT, the GT350 looks to be a serious performer. Moreover, with a price starting at $49K for the GT350 and $61K for the GT350R, Ford needs to just take our money. Sign us up!
