Audi’s flagship SUV, the Q8, is receiving a refresh for the 2024 model year, with a focus on both exterior and interior enhancements. Although these updates have been detailed primarily for the European market at the time of writing, they could offer a glimpse into what we can expect from the upcoming American-market model.

From the outside, the 2024 Audi Q8 features several subtle yet impactful design changes. While the overall proportions of the vehicle remain consistent, Audi has given the front end a fresh new look. Notable updates include reshaped LED accents in the headlights, the introduction of octagonal inserts in the grille, and the integration of larger air intakes into the lower part of the bumper. Moving to the rear, redesigned OLED lights and rectangular exhaust tips catch the eye, further refining the Q8’s aesthetic appeal.

Audi is also offering more customization options with five new wheel designs, ranging from 21 to 23 inches in size, and three additional paint colors named Sakhir Gold, Ascari Blue, and Chili Red. Enthusiasts looking to add contrast and a touch of sportiness to their Q8 can opt for packages like the Black Optics, which include black exterior trim and emblems.

Inside the cabin, the 2024 Audi Q8 continues to deliver a luxurious and technologically advanced experience. While the basic dashboard layout remains largely unchanged, Audi has made refinements to various details. Three new types of interior trim are now available, allowing buyers to tailor their Q8’s interior to their preferences. Additionally, the infotainment system has been upgraded to include compatibility with popular apps like Spotify and Amazon Music. Audi has also committed to regularly updating the infotainment system with new apps to enhance the user experience.

Under the hood, European customers have a choice of three engines for the 2024 Q8. The entry-level models are equipped with a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6, producing 231 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. For those seeking more power, a higher-output version of the same engine is available, offering 286 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. Alternatively, there’s a gasoline-powered 3.0-liter V6 engine generating 340 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. All these engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and Audi’s renowned Quattro all-wheel-drive system.

For those seeking even greater performance, the SQ8 stands out with a potent 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine, delivering a commanding 507 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. Audi has yet to release details on the updated RS Q8, leaving room for anticipation among performance enthusiasts.

The 2024 Audi Q8 is already available for purchase in Europe, with a starting price of €86,700 ($93,000 usd). While Audi has not officially confirmed whether these changes will carry over to the American-market version, it is highly likely that we can expect a similar refresh.
