The 2024 Sentra, following a mid-cycle refresh, flaunts a restyled front fascia adorned with new headlights. Beneath its hood, the 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine carries over, boasting 149 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque. However, the standout mechanical enhancement comes in the form of a new Xtronic continuously variable transmission (CVT), engineered to offer smoother shifts and support a start/stop system. In terms of safety, Nissan has made strides by including Nissan Safety Shield 360 as standard across all 2024 Sentra models, which encompasses features like automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot warning, high beam assist, and rear automatic braking.
For those considering the Sentra’s middle SV trim, Nissan sweetens the deal with the SV Premium Package. This package bundles a 360-degree camera, an eight-speaker Bose audio system, and turn-signal-equipped mirrors. Meanwhile, the Sentra’s top SR trim undergoes a more extensive makeover to align itself with the Altima SR.
